TMJ Treatment
Are you experiencing:
- Headaches
- Pain in and around the jaw areas
- The sound of your jaw clicking or popping
- Dizziness, grinding or clenching your teeth
- Stiff or sore click and shoulder muscles
- Toothaches or sensitive teeth unrelated to cavities or gum disease
- Clogging or stuffiness in your ears
- Abnormal tooth wear at the gum line or loss of tooth enamel

If so, you may want to consider Biometric treatments. This is a technique founded on the belief that a healthy smile beings with a healthy bite. "Bite Disease" and tempromandibular joint (TMJ) disorders can be effectively detected, measured and treated using computerized electronics such as the Myotronics K7. The Myotronics K7 is the most advanced computerized diagnostic equipment used for diagnosing medical conditions attributed to a bad bite.
Biometric treatments stabilize the muscles that control the jaw. This method of treatment determines the optimal physiological position of the jaw by measuring the relaxed positions of head and neck muscles-then repositions the jaw to achieve those exact measurements.
Biometric treatments can prevent the teeth from shifting. Patients share that their headaches disappear and they no longer need pain medication. They also tend to experience a more restful sleep. For many, this is life-changing.
Mini Dental Implants

A miniature titanium implant acts like the root of your tooth and a retaining fixture that is incorporated into the base of your denture keeps your denture solid with no movement. The head of the implant is shaped like a ball and the retaining fixture acts like a socket that contains a rubber O-ring. The O-ring snaps over the ball when the denture is seated and holds the denture. When seated, the denture gently rests on the gum tissue. The implant fixture allow for micro-mobility while withstanding natural lifting forces.
How specifically can dental implants help denture wearers?
The standard insertion protocol for a dental implants calls for four of them to be gently screwed into the front of the patients lower jaw. This is a relatively painless procedure requiring only a mild anesthesia. The dental implants, which are approximately the size of wooden toothpicks, are placed about five millimeters apart in the patients mandible. The patients denture is then carefully adjusted by Dr. Hedge to allow it to snap onto the four mini implants, The result? A tight fitting. completely reliable system that allows a patient to speak and eat with confidence. The dental implants are placed in about an hours time. Because of the unique, minimally invasive procedure, the minute size of the implants and the characteristic placement area, the typical dental implant patient can enjoy a light meal and hour or so after having the mini implants placed. Further, a denture patient who has had his or her prosthesis stabilized with implants can remove and replace the denture easily after a little practice, and can easily utilize good dental hygiene.
